6.1
Changing batteries
A battery change is required if the LEDs are not illuminated when the device is
switched on.
CAUTION
Corrosion can damage the electrical components of the PIA.
The function of the device may be impaired.
► Do not open the PIA in a corrosive atmosphere.
► Ensure that the plug-in connector thread is clean.
WARNING
Explosion hazard
Do not change the batteries in an explosion hazard atmosphere.
NOTICE
Only use approved batteries.
1. Remove the protective rubber sleeve to make the screws on the housing
base accessible.
2. Loosen the screws on the bottom of the housing.
3. Remove the housing cover.
4. Remove the old batteries from the mounts.

5. Insert the new batteries into the mounts until they engage into position.

6. Fit the housing cover and secure using the screws.
Remedy
7. Pull the protective rubber sleeve fully back over the housing.

To clean the device, wipe using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any solvents.
