SAFETY
Carefully read this chapter before starting up the appliance.
The following safety instructions are very important for safe operation and
protection against injury. Always keep the Beefer away from children.
Avoid fire and explosion hazards.
The Beefer's flames could cause a fire. In addition, your Beefer is a possible
shelter for spiders and other insects, especially around the gas valve. This could
prevent gas flow, so that performance is poorer or, in the worst case, the gas
flows back and out of the gas valve. This could cause a fire in and around the gas
valve under the control knob for the gas feed. Liquid propane gas and natural gas
are highly flammable and explosive.
• Connect the Beefer in accordance with applicable regulations, and use only in
a well-ventilated area. Do not cover slats and openings on the appliance.
• NG Version: Ensure that the gas connectors and couplings are intact.
• NG Version: Ensure that only an authorized service technician carries out
connection or conversion in accordance with valid guidelines.
• Only use your Beefer in suitable inside areas on a sufficiently large, heat-proof
base and always ensure that there is sufficient ventilation.
• Do not make any prohibited changes to appliance components.
• Ensure that the Beefer stands on a flat and non-slip surface and that it doesn't
move during operation. Allow the cooking vessel to cool to 115°F (45°C).
• Keep the Beefer away from electrical appliances. These can be dangerous if gas
escapes when connecting the gas lines.
• Ensure that there are no flammable or heat-sensitive materials or objects near
the Beefer including gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids. The
minimum distance to all sides is 24" (60 cm).
• Ensure when placing near house walls that the walls may have heat-sensitive
insulation.
• Ensure that the gas lines do not touch the Beefer. Keep the gas lines away from
any heated surface(s).
• Make sure that the Beefer is not used under overhead unprotected
combustible construction.
• Make sure that the LPG-bottle and other gas parts are not exposed to high
temperatures or sun radiation.
• After using the Beefer close the gas feed on the LPG bottle or with natural gas,
the valve to the valve connector.
