ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to change the vacuum pump oil after 20 hours of usage or if the oil becomes discolored (yellowish color). The purity of the oil affects
the final vacuum level. Contaminated vacuum pump oil will prevent the vacuum pump from reaching its designed ultimate vacuum level. The oil
provided with the pump has been specially blended to maintain viscosity from 32F to 120F.
The following is the recommended procedure of changing the vacuum pump oil:
1. Run the vacuum pump for 3-5 minutes. Open the inlet cap for the last 30 seconds.
2. Turn off and unplug the vacuum pump.
3. Remove the exhaust cap.
4. Place the vacuum pump on a flat table. Place a tray under the oil drain port to catch the oil.
5. Open the Oil Drain Valve with a 5mm Allen Wrench until the oil begins to flow out the oil drain port.
6. Once the oil has completely drained, close oil drain valve. Note there is no need to tilt the pump during this procedure.
7. Add new oil via the exhaust port opening. Add until the oil level reaches the maximum level on the sight glass.
8. Re-install Exhaust port.
Oil Change is now complete.
