Using the appliance
NOTE:
Note for the installer:
The surrounding walls must not be higher than the level of
the hob surface. In addition, the rear wall, the surroundings
and adjacent surfaces of the appliance must be able to
withstand temperatures above 65°C.
The adhesive used to bond the plastic laminate to the
supporting surface must be able to withstand a temperature
of at least 150°C; Otherwise, the plastic laminate may come
off.
• The appliance must be installed in accordance with the applicable regulations. This appliance
is not connected to an extractor capable of evacuating gases produced during combustion. It
must therefore be installed and connected in accordance with the above-mentioned standards.
Particular attention should be paid to the following provisions for ventilation and airing.
Room ventilation
• It is important that the room in which the appliance is installed is ventilated at all times to
ensure that the appliance functions correctly. To provide the required amount of air for normal
combustion of gas and proper ventilation, the appliance should be installed in a room of no less
than 20 m
. There should be permanent openings in the walls of the room to allow for natural
3
air ventilation. These openings must discharge smoke to the outside and have a cross-section
of at least 100 cm² (see Fig.
3
).
These openings must be designed in such a way that they cannot be obstructed under any
circumstances. Indirect ventilation with air from an adjacent room is also permitted, in strict
compliance with the applicable regulations.

Location and ventilation
An extraction hood must always be able to exhaust the products of combustion generated by gas
cooking appliances. This hood must be connected to a flue or chimney, or lead directly outside.
If it is not possible to install a hood, install an electric fan on an outside window or wall (see Fig.
4
). The fan must operate at the same time as the appliance (see fig.
with applicable regulations.
Gas connection
Before connecting the appliance, check that the values on the type plate on the underside of the
hob are compatible with the local gas and electricity supply. A label on the appliance indicates
the settings required: type of gas and operating pressure. The gas connection must comply with
current regulations and standards.
For mains gas distributed through a pipeline, the appliance must be connected to the gas
distribution network:
• using a rigid steel pipe. This pipe must have threaded connections that comply with the
relevant standards.
• using a copper pipe. This pipe must be fitted with mechanical seals.
• using a continuous stainless steel hose. The length of this pipe should be a maximum of 2
metres and the joints should comply with current standards.
When gas is supplied from a cylinder, a pressure regulator that complies with the relevant
regulations must be used and the appliance must be connected at all times
• using a copper pipe. This pipe must be fitted with mechanical seals.
• using a continuous stainless steel hose. The length of this pipe should be a maximum of 2
metres and the joints should comply with current standards. It is recommended to use a special
