SYNCRO
G
B
Cards for the synchronization of 2 L1, L1 24V, P1, P1 24V commands and safety devices
Synchronization can only be activated with freeware RIB GATE App
1st - Carry out the total opening programming of the two operators/gates (if not
previously programmed).
Programming MUST be performed separately.
If the gates' runs are different, obviously the travel times will be different.
The synchronization function only shares commands and safeties. Travel times will
remain separate.
The microswitches of the two control panels must be set identically even if some
parameters are independent (slowdown, brake, gradual start)
2nd - The ACG8069 radio module must be installed on a single panel (which will be
the MASTER). Remove it from the other panel (which will be the SLAVE)
3rd - Insert the cards in the SERIAL COM / SYNC connectors on the two control panels.
4th - Connect the cards together using a 2x1 BUS/RS485 shielded twisted cable,
paying attention to the correspondences, lines A and B of the 485 serial line and
connection of any SH screen of the cable.
5th - Insert the APP card code APP8050 into the control panels and register them in
the cloud with the RIB GATE app.
Insert the APP card code APP8050 or APP+ on the system that will be defined as
"MASTER".
Register system in the cloud with the RIB GATE app and in the part: advanced
parameters / engine management / communication protocols, select "synchronized
operation of 2 control panels -> MASTER card
Insert the APP or APP+ card on the system which will be defined as "SLAVE".
Register the system and in the part: advanced parameters / motor management
/ communication protocols, select "synchronized operation of 2 control panels ->
SLAVE card
Remove the APP or APP+ card from the SLAVE system when you have to start
operating the double system.
6th - Leave the APP card inserted in the panel that mounts the radio module ACG8069
(MASTER)
7th - The MASTER and SLAVE systems must be registered via the RIB GATE APP and will
ACG8081
be identified as MASTER and SLAVE.
Subsequently, the APP module should be removed from the SLAVE and any commands
from APP RIB GATE will act only on the MASTER gate. The APP command on the SLAVE
is disabled.
Using the RIB GATE app to read the diagnostics, the status of the commands and
safety devices connected to both control panels will be displayed.
It is advisable to connect the commands only on the MASTER, but it will be necessary
to have a START command also on the SLAVE so as to be able to move the gate while
the operator is present during the alarm due to lack of synchronization (fault).
The safety devices can be connected both on the MASTER and SLAVE but it is advisable
to connect them only on the MASTER.
Example 1:
Photocells connected to both boards but separate: PHOT 1 to the MASTER and PHOT 2
to the SLAVE.
However, both states will be seen on the MASTER or SLAVE diagnostics.
Example 2:
Photocells connected to the two boards, PHOT 1 and PHOT 2 to the MASTER, PHOT 1 and
PHOT 2 to the SLAVE.
However, both states will be seen on the MASTER or SLAVE diagnostics.
By interrupting a photocell infrared ray, this will be seen interrupted on the other card
too.
In the event of an obstacle detected (L1 24V or P1 24V), both control panels perform a
brief inversion with alarm activation.
DIAGNOSTICS FOR OPERATION
The LEDs of the SYNCRO cards flash very quickly (50ms) during the initial
communication phase (sending parameters from the MASTER panel to the SLAVE
panel).
This phase is active every time the panels are switched on, every time there is an
alarm reset and every time a common parameter has changed.
When this phase is completed, the standard flashing of the SYNCRO card LEDs is
regular every 200ms
In the event of a fault, the indications are:
• On the SYNCRO card inserted in the MASTER panel, the LED does not flash and
consequently it does not flash even on the card inserted in the SLAVE panel (failure
to send data from the MASTER - SYNCRO card failure inserted in the MASTER panel
or failure of the MASTER panel)
• On the SYNCRO card inserted in the SLAVE panel, the LED does not flash (no data
received from the SLAVE - SYNCRO card fault inserted in the SLAVE panel or failure
of the SLAVE panel or failure of the communication cable or non-compliant cable).
• The LEDs of the SYNCRO cards inserted in the MASTER and SLAVE panels always
flash quickly (failure to receive data from the MASTER panel).
• On the MASTER and SLAVE panels, the DL1 LED flashes to signal the lack of
communication.
