Transport and handling
WARNING! Lifting and handling
manoeuvres must be carried out by
personnel specialised and trained for
this purpose.
Transport can be carried out by air, sea,
or land.
The weight of the chair is reported in
the technical speci cations.
The chair can be moved manually.
Packing list veri cation
Remove the content of the package and
check it against the packing list.
If all the components are present and
undamaged, the package can be disposed
or recycled. It must be kept in appropriate
location, inaccessible to children or ani-
mals.
If the chair has been damaged during
shipment, keep the package and call the
shipping agent within 48 hours from de-
livery.
Functionality test
Before using the folding chair:
verify if the chair opens and clo-
ses correctly referring to the chapter
"Operating mode" of the present ma-
nual;
if the check result is positive the
chair is ready for regular use, if it is
negative call "MORETTI" customer
service.
WARNING! The above mentioned check
must be repeated at regular intervals
in order to verify the ef ciency of the
product as speci ed in the section
"Maintenance".
The chair is delivered ready for
use and does not require assembling.
OPERATION AND USE
Instructions for use
The folding chair is exclusively
for professional use.
Use the chair only as indicated in
this manual.
Before putting the chair in regular
service read the instructions carefully
and practise the operating
dures.
Use the folding chair only when
in perfect operating conditions.
Adjustments prior to use
The EM 300 folding chair DOES NOT
require any adjustment prior to use.
Unfolding the chair
Bend and hold the EM/300 chair by
handles (2) and (11) as indicated by Figure
A of the side sequence.
Unfold with a movement similar to ope-
ning a book as indicated in Figure B until
reaching the position indicated in Figure C.
Set the chair upright so that the front of
the frame lays on the ground and apply a
pressure downwards on the seat (11) han-
dle.
The chair is now in the position indica-
ted by Figure D; lift and rotate the pawls
simultaneously (6) in order to let the teeth
correspond to the slots.
If the teeth did not reach the bottom of
the pawls, seize the chair at point (2) and
(11) and carry out the adjustment by slight-
ly forcing the opening or closing so that
that the pins of the pawls reach the bottom
of their seats.
WARNING! Always make sure that the
teeth of the pawls have completely
entered their seats before moving
the chair.
Folding the chair
Extract the pawls (6) and rotate them.
Bend the chair as illustrated by Figure
C, hold the handles (2) and (11) as in Fi-
gure B then fold the chair as illustrated by
Figure A.
