While operating the scarifier you observe certain
precautions and procedures of use in order to avoid
accidents, damage and increase the efficiency of the
scarifier:
• Ensure that you start the scarifier at a distance of more
than 3m from the fuelling location;
• Always hold the scarifier with both hands;
• When the scarifier is operating at idle speed, the blade
is not rotating. If not, contact service enter to carry out
an inspection and solve the problem;
• If you hear an unusual noise or the scarifier vibrates
abnormally, stop work and identify the cause;
• Never operate a damaged scarifier.
The blade shaft rotates and removes the layer formed by
moss, lichen and weeds and takes the scarified material
outside or into the grass bag. During mowing, the blades
penetrate the soil and ensure that the lawn is loosened and
absorbs nutrients better. We recommend scarifying the
lawn in spring and autumn.
The spring tines' shaft rotates and scrapes the grass or
aerates slightly mossy areas. The removed moss is
transported out of or into the grass bag. During aeration,
the soil surface is scraped. This improves water drainage
and facilitates oxygen absorption.
We recommend aerating the lawn throughout the entire
growing period.
The working depth of the scarifier can be adjusted by
turning the depth adjustment knob (1).
Your scarifier is equipped with a depth adjustment knob
that offers unlimited working positions. The working
position is from +5mm to -15mm (below soil level).
1. Stop the scarifier and remove the spark plug cap before
changing the cutting height;
2. To change the cutting height, turn the depth adjustment
knob (1) clockwise or counterclockwise to the selected
height;
3. Move the blade height adjustment lever (4) to the
transport (upwards) position to prevent the shaft from
touching the ground after finishing work.
The shaft can cause serious injury. Stop the engine
before adjusting the cutting height.
To start the engine, ensure that the spark plug is
correctly fitted and that the machine has sufficient oil
and fuel.
1. Turn the ON/OFF switch (2) to the "ON" position;
2. To start a cold engine, move the carburetor lever to the
"ON" position. Keep the choke lever in the "OFF" position;
3. Press the brake lever (6) and pull the recoil starter (9);
4. Move the choke lever to the "ON" position.
1. Release the brake lever (6);
2. Turn the ON/OFF switch (2) to the "OFF" position.
The shaft continues to rotate for a few seconds after
the engine stops. Remove the spark plug cap if the
scarifier is not being used.
The engine runs on unleaded 95 petrol.
Unsuitable or different fuels may lead to irreversible
damage to the engine. Low-quality petrol can damage the
engine, gaskets, hoses and the fuel tank.
Keep the fuel in proper and adequate containers in a safe,
dry, cool place protected from sunlight. Fuel ages, put only
the amount needed for a few weeks. Do not store or use fuel
with more than 30 days.
Shake the jerry can before refuelling.
Pressure may form inside the tank, for this reason it
shall be opened carefully. Avoid direct skin contact
and inhalation of flammable vapours.
When refilling the fuel tank, do not add petrol above the
maximum level of the filler cap.
