7. To turn off the thermometer press the
on/off button; if this button is not pressed
the thermometer will automatically switch
itself off after around 10 minutes.
8. Remove and throw away the cover.
Backlit display
The digital display lights up when the on/off
button is pressed and when taking a measu-
rement for easy temperature reading, even
when ambient lighting is poor.
Probe cover
After each measurement the probe cover
should be changed. This is important for
hygiene, as it prevents the spread of germs
and bacteria.

with the thermometer, are also available
separately.
Important
Keep the thermometer out of reach of
children.
Keep the battery out of reach of children,
the elderly and pets (the battery is toxic if
ingested).
Never leave children unattended when taking
their temperature.
Make sure that the cover has not been swallowed
during and after the measurement.
The thermometer must be stored at room
temperature, in a dry place, away from heat
and direct sunlight.
Strong electromagnetic fields could affect the
proper functioning of the thermometer.

Remove the batteries from the thermometer
if not used for a long period of time.
If high temperatures persist, seek medical
advice.
Cleaning and taking care of the thermo-
meter
It's possible to clean the probe and the tip
containing the sensor after use, with soap
and warm water, or with a 70% ethyl alcohol
solution.
Dry with a cloth.
Do not boil the thermometer and do not place
in a dishwasher. This could damage the product
and would make the warranty void.
Replacing the battery
If the battery is flat, a symbol will appear
on the display
