Showing FM information on the display
When listening to an FM radio station that is also
broadcasting RDS data (the RDS icon is shown in the
bottom bar of the radio's display), repeatedly press
the Info / Menu button to cycle through the following
information on the radio's display:
Radio Text, Program Type, Signal Strength, Date .
If the stereo speaker icon is shown at the bottom of the
radio's display, this indicates that the radio is receiving a
stereo broadcast.
FM stereo / mono
If the FM radio station being listened to has a weak signal
some hiss may be audible. It is possible to reduce this

hiss by forcing the radio to play the station in mono rather
than stereo. Press the Stereo / Mono button repeatedly,
the display will show "Forced Mono" or "Stereo Allowed".

Presetting stations in DAB and FM modes
There are 6 memory presets each for DAB and FM radio.

They are used in the same way for each operating mode.
1.
Turn on the radio, then select the DAB or FM radio
mode and tune to the required radio station as

previously described.

Press and hold the Preset button until the display
shows, for example, "Preset 01 stored". The station

will be stored under the chosen preset button. Repeat
this procedure as needed for the remaining presets.
Stations stored in preset memories may be overwritten
by following the above procedure.

Recalling a preset in DAB and FM modes
1.
Turn on the radio and then select the DAB or FM radio

Press the required Preset button to cause your radio to
tune to the station stored in preset memory.

Using the System settings menu

The System settings menu can be used to configure your
radio. Follow these steps to access the System settings
menu:

Turn on the radio using the Standby button.
2.
Press and hold the Info / Menu button to open the
menu for the current mode.
3.
Rotate the Tuning knob to select [System Settings]
and press the Tuning knob to open the menu.
The System settings menu offers the following options:
Rotate the Tuning knob to select one of the options and
then press the Tuning knob to confirm your choice.
Press the Info / Menu button to go back one step in the
radio's menus.
The radio's default and recommended settings are
indicated using an asterisk.
● [MIC Volume]: Select this option to adjust the
microphone volume. Rotate the Tuning knob to
adjust the desired microphone volume.
● [3D SRS]: Select this option and then select [Off] to
turn off the 3D surround sound or select [On] to turn
on the 3D surround sound.

● [Time setup]: Select this option to set the time and
date manually, to set the source for automatically
updating the time and date, or to set the time format.
[Sleep]: The sleep timer allows you to automatically
turn off the radio after a preset time has elapsed.
Select this option and press the Tuning knob. Then
Rotate the Tuning knob to select the desired sleep
time. The sleep timer can be set from 15 to 120
minutes or select "Sleep off" to cancel the sleep
timer. Press the Tuning knob to confirm the setting.
An active sleep timer is shown using a sleep timer
icon at the bottom of the playing display. This icon
also shows the remaining sleep time before the
radio switches itself into standby mode.
To cancel the sleep time before the preset time has
elapsed and to turn off the radio, press the Standby
button to turn the radio off manually.
● [Backlight]: Select this option and then select
[Timeout] to adjust the length of time before the
backlight turns off or select [On Level] to adjust the
display's brightness level when the radio is turned
on or select [Standby Level] to adjust the backlight
brightness when the radio is in standby mode.
● [Language]: Select this option to configure the
language in which the radio's menus are shown.
● [Factory Reset]: Select this option to reset the radio
to the default factory settings. After confirmation, all
user settings and preset stations will be erased.
● [SW Version]: Select this option to view the
software version of the radio.
Listening to music via Bluetooth
streaming
You need to pair your Bluetooth device with your radio
before you can auto-link to play / stream Bluetooth music
through your radio. Pairing creates a 'bond' so the two
devices can recognize each other.
Pairing and playing your Bluetooth device
for the first time
1.
With your radio switched on, press the Source button
to select Bluetooth mode. "BT Pairing" will show on the
display. The Bluetooth LED indicator on the radio will
flash blue to show the radio is discoverable.

Activate Bluetooth on your device according to the
device's user manual to link to the radio. Locate the
Bluetooth device list and select the device named
"RH4-18V" (With some Smartphone's that are equipped
with earlier versions than BT2.1 Bluetooth device, you
may need to input the pass code "0000").
3.
Once connected, there will be a confirmation tone
sound and the name of your connected Bluetooth
device will show on the display. The Bluetooth LED
indicator will turn solid blue. You can simply select and
play any music from your source device.
4.
The volume control can be adjusted from your source
device, or directly from the radio. Use the controls on
your Bluetooth-enabled device or on the radio to play /
pause and navigate tracks.
