OPERATION MANUAL AND INSTRUCTIONS
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
The jaws are now open. Insert the rope into the hole until it comes out on the side of the anchor pin. Then release the jaw release
lever (C) by hammering it in the indicated direction (Fig. 2-4).
When hammering against the jaw release lever, care must be taken to avoid injury.
Do not use clubs or other tools to strike the jaw release lever in order to avoid damage to the jaw.
Releasing the rope
With the rope fully inserted into the winch, and with no tension or loads applied to the rope, perform the operations to release the
jaws as described for inserting the rope into the winch. When the jaws are unlocked, pull the rope out of the insertion hole by hand.
When the winch is under load, i.e. when a load or tension is applied to the rope, DO NOT attempt to release the jaws
in any way or operate the drive and release levers.
Using the winch
With the rope fully inserted in the winch, anchor the winch via the anchor pin to the support structure. Insert the hand lever or
telescopic hand lever on the feed lever (A). Then operate it back and forth to lift a load, pull or apply tension.
To lower a load or release the rope, insert the hand lever or telescopic hand lever on the release lever (B) and operate it forwards
and backwards.
Perform the following before starting operations:
- Check the function of the brake. To do this, a load must be lifted, lowered, towed and stretched a short distance with the unit, then
lowered and unloaded. By releasing the hand lever, the load must be held in any position. Also check that the mechanism does
not freeze in temperatures below 0°.
- Test the functionality of the rope drive in an unloaded condition.
- Check that the load connection device rests fully on the load hook and that the safety catch can be closed completely.
- Check that the load applied to the accessory is free to align with its anchor point.
- Check the correct insertion and locking of the anchor pin inside the winch body.
