Repairs
If you notice continuous deflation in the SUP, it's possible that there may be air loss
due to a leak. Most leaks can be repaired with the patches provided.
If the leak cannot be seen, you can find it by pouring a mixture of soap and water
over the area you suspect. If there is a hole, it will be revealed by small bubbles.
Once you have found the location of the leak, mark it with a felt-tip pen and make
sure you thoroughly clean and dry the patch area before you spread the glue.
Using sandpaper is also recommended to make the seal more effective.
When the area is prepared, deflate the SUP and cut out a circular patch with a
margin of 3-4 inches from the leak. Apply an adhesive such as MEK or equivalent
for PVC, following the manufacturer's instructions on quantity and drying.
Be careful to apply the patch slowly to avoid any air bubbles. Finally, leave the
SUP to dry in the open air for at least 24 hours before using it in the water again.
