Starting the watch
Crown in position 1. This position
enables the movement to be wound
by hand hand when the watch has
stopped. Before performing any
other operation, wind it by turning
the crown upwards ( ) 20 to 30
times. Thereafter, if the watch is
worn on the wrist, it winds itself and
reaches its full power reserve auto-
matically. If it is not worn after being
fully wound, the watch will stop after
about 80 hours.

Setting the time
Pull the crown out to position 2. Turn
the crown upwards ( ) to move the
hands forward, or downwards ( )
to move the hands backwards, and
set the watch to the desired time. For
accurate time-setting, ensure that the
last operation was done in a clock-
wise direction. Then push the crown
back to position 1. After this oper-
ation, rotate the crown downwards
( ) to make sure it turns freely.
