Checking the battery
Press the button for the battery test (11) to
check the battery condition as indicated by
the LEDs (9).
Charging
Charging at 230 V
Insert the plug from the 230 V adapter into
the charging socket (16) on the energy
station and plug the 230 V adapter into the
mains socket.
While charging the unit, you can press the
button for the battery test (11) so that the
LEDs (9) indicate the jumpstarter's battery
level. If the green LED comes on, the
jumpstarter is fully charged.
NB! The energy station must not be charged
in this way for more than 26 hours at a time.
Charging at 12 V
NB! Charging with the 12 V adapter is solely
intended as an emergency solution when
there is no access to 230 V.
Insert the plug from the 12 V adapter into the
charging socket (16) on the energy station
and plug the 12 V adapter into the cigarette
lighter socket in a car or boat. The ignition
lock on the car or boat must be in a position
to allow for charging.
While charging the unit, you can press the
button for the battery test (11) so that the
LEDs (9) indicate the jumpstarter's battery
level. If the green LED comes on, the
jumpstarter is fully charged.
NB! The energy station must not be charged
in this way for more than 12 hours at a time.
Use
Jump start
Connect the red battery clamp (6) to the
battery's positive (+) terminal.
Connect the black battery clamp (1) to
a piece of exposed metal in the engine
compartment or to the chassis away from the
battery.
If the battery clamps are correctly attached,
the indicator for reversed polarity (13) lights
green. If you attach the battery clamps in
reverse, and alarm sounds and the indicator
for reversed polarity (13) lights red. Remove
the battery clamps and then connect them
correctly.
Wait a few minutes.
Turn the on/off button (8) to the ON position.
Turn the car or boat ignition key and try to
start the engine for no more than 10 seconds.
If the engine does not start on this attempt,
wait at least 3 minutes before trying again.
Once the engine has started, turn the on/off
knob (8) to the OFF position.
Remove the black battery clamp fi rst and
replace it on the energy station. Then remove
the red battery clamp and replace it on the
energy station.
NB! The jumpstarter may be used to start
engines if the battery is weak or almost
discharged.
If the engine's battery is defective or deeply
discharged, the jumpstarter will likely not
start the engine, and the engine battery
instead should be replaced with a new one.
