Only these parts are intended to come into contact with food, under the conditions indicated:

- These parts can only be used with this appliance. Do not use the parts in separate form for other
applications;
- Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the parts intended for contact with food as
indicated in the Maintenance paragraph.
First use
Before using the device for the first time, operate it while empty (for about 10 minutes) in a
wellventilated area to eliminate any odours and fumes due to possible residual traces from
production on the internal parts of the device.
Switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket outlet and let the device cool down.
Clean the appliance as specified in the MAINTENANCE section.
NOTE: the use of water is not essential but decreases the spread of smoke which could be created
while cooking.
If you wish to use it, do not exceed the MAX level indicated on the water tank (5); be careful
not to pour it on the heating element (4) and make sure that the level is below the heating element.
Usage
- Insert the water tank, even if you do not want to use water. If desired, pour the water into the
tank.
- Place the heating element on the base. The appliance has a safety switch which activates when
you remove the heating element by interrupting the power supply.
- Position the grill (1) so that the feet are correctly positioned on the supports present on the support
base. The grill should be well detached from the heating element to prevent the food from coming
into contact with the heating element.
- Insert the plug into the mains.
- Turn the knob (2) clockwise to switch on the heating element. Turning the knob, you can increase
or decrease the operating temperature.
- The indicator light (3) on indicates that the appliance is operating, and turns off when the
temperature is reached.
- Wait a few minutes for the heating element to reach the operating temperature.
- Place the food to be cooked on the grill (1).
- After use, switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket outlet and let the device cool
down.
