Check that nothing is blocking the free movement of the jaws - if so,

first remove the obstacle.
Slide a suitable bar between the jaws and make sure it rests firmly on
•
the head between them.
•
Press and hold the trigger until the jaws give the desired shape of the
bent (or straightened) bar, and hold the handle 2 with the other hand.
•
Once the bar is properly shaped, release the trigger immediately,
which will stop the jaws in their current position. Do not keep the
trigger pressed all the time!
To retract the jaw and remove a piece of the bar, release the lever,
•
which will retract the movable jaw.
•
After the movable jaw has returned to its fully retracted position,
close the release lever.
NOTE: if you need to bend a thinner bar, loosen the bolt securing the
fixed jaw and turn it by 180

Similarly, when straightening a thinner bar - also the smaller jaw
(movable) should be replaced with one with a smaller indent.
IMPORTANT: remember to have the obligatory breaks in order to cool
the device down and to check the tightening of the 4 bolts securing
the lowering lever (see the picture below) after 1-2 days of operation.
