Remedy
Check drive belt tension pulley for damage or
incorrect tension, repair as necessary. Replace
drive belt.
Replace friction drive wheel
Allow snow blower to dry and or warm up or
adjust drive cable tension as necessary
Replace pins attaching wheels to axle
Check speed control lever and cables for damage
or loose or missing parts. Repair or replace parts as
needed, ensure pivot stud spring tension is correct,
adjust pivot nut spring tension as needed.
Repair, adjust or replace as necessary
Check speed control lever and cables for damage
or loose or missing parts. Repair or replace parts as
needed. Adjust drive speed control cables, see
Drive Speed Control Cables Adjustment
Repair, replace cable as necessary
Replace spring, adjust cable as necessary
Clean chute and inside of auger housing with
clean-out tool
Replace shear pins. Check each auger blade shear
pin.
Remove object from auger or impeller areas
Replace auger belt
Repair, adjust or replace as necessary
Replace auger blade(s)
Check bearings, bushings and all system parts for
damage or mechanical binding. Repair or replace
as necessary using proper lubrication
Replace impeller
Replace shear pins or impeller as necessary
Allow engine to maintain its speed.
