3.3 Brushing
Before use, make sure that the hair is clean and dry.
For additional protection of the hair, it is advisable to apply a heat protective spray.
Steam may be given off during brushing. It is due to evaporation of the residual
damp in the hair.
Shaping
Take up a strand of hair and brush slowly from the roots to the tips, turning
the brush gently. To curl the hair outwards, roll the hair round the brush when
it reaches the tips.
To curl the hair inwards, put the brush under a strand of hair and brush slowly
from the roots to the tips, turning the brush gently. Keep the brush still for a
few seconds near the tips.
Creating lift
To give extra lift to short or medium-length hair, roll a small strand of hair
round the brush. Then move the brush the opposite way from its natural
direction to lift and shape the roots.
Finishing
Let the hair cool down before continuing to style it.
Apply hair spray to keep the hair in place for a "long hold" effect.
