Wiring must comply with Article 500 of the National Electrical
Code or Canadian Electrical Code and the local authority having
jurisdiction. For marine applications all wiring, including the
supply wire, must be stranded wire and meet the USCG (CFR46)
Section (110-113).
NOTE: The instructions below are for lights using the ceiling
mount option (CMXC-SB). For the pendant mount option (PMXC-
SB) or wall mount option (WMXC-4-SB), refer to instruction
manual 25500050.
SHOCK HAZARD—To avoid electrical shock hazards, do not
connect wires when power is applied.
REVERSE POLARITY/MISWIRING—The DC lights are polar-
ity sensitive and MAY BE DAMAGED by incorrect electrical
hookup. When connecting the DC light to the voltage supply
lines, POLARITY MUST BE OBSERVED. In addition, damage
will if the voltage rating of the model is exceeded.
To install the Model 27XL-024-4 light:
1.
Install the ceiling mount on the support surface using the four
external mounting slots.
2.
Remove the terminal block from the ceiling mount by loosen-
ing the two mounting screws.
3.
Connect the incoming positive side (+) of the power source to
the terminal marked L+.
4.
Connect the outgoing positive side (+) of the power source to
the terminal marked B.
5.
Connect the incoming negative side (-) of the power source to
the terminal marked N-.
6.
Connect the outgoing negative side (-) of the power source to
the terminal marked A.
