1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The acoustic controller and limiter LCA-02 consists of a sensor with weighting and
integration, and a linear attenuator. The sensor measures sound pressure level in the room
and the attenuator acts correcting the electrical signal level at the power amplifier input to
make the sound pressure level not to exceed the programmed limit.
The attenuator can correct up to 30 dB. If the necessary attenuation exceeds the 30 dB, the
LCA-02 penalises with 60 dB of attenuation during a programmable period.
Also, the LCA-02 has a detailed control of the sound pressure level (L
and maximum L
of the hour) and incidences produced during the last 60 days.

There are 5 incidence counters:
E1
Number of times that the LCA-02 has penalised with a 60 dB attenuation
and the sound pressure level has continued exceeding the maximum
programmed level
E2
Number of times that the LCA-02 has penalised with 60 dB of
attenuation and the sound pressure level has stopped exceeding the
maximum programmed level
E3
Number of half-hours or fractions that the sensor has been handled. For
example, if the sensor is continuously handled during an hour and a
quarter, E3 will count 3 incidences
CD
Number
disconnections. CD="Bat" indicates one disconnection, and more than
one are indicated by the number of times
CB
Number of E1, E2, E3 and CD counter resets ("erased" option in the
program). CB counter can't be deleted
The LCA-02 permits a double timetable with different sound pressure level limits: "running
time" and "night timetable". The "running time" is the establishment timetable, since it opens
until it closes and it has a sound pressure limit. The "night timetable" is in the "running time"
and it also has a sound pressure level limit, (lower than the "running time" one).
