Thicker French fries or pieces of potatoes are
less prone to contamination as the acryla-
mide is formed particularly at the edges.
•
When you are making French fries from
fresh potatoes leave the peeled and chopped
pieces of potato first for an hour in water so
that part of the sugar content is dissolved on
the edges (initial substance for acrylamide).
Initial Use
Before you first use the appliance
1. attach the handle on the frying basket.
•
Press together the wire ends at the free
end of the handle.
•
Slide the angled ends into the wire loops
on the inside of the basket.
•
Attach the handle to the basket.
2. Unwind the connection cable.
Electrical connection
•
Ensure that the device voltage (see label)
and the mains voltage are the same.
•
Connect the plug only with a properly con-
nected shockproof socket.
Connected value
In total the appliance can use a capacity of
2,500 W. With this connection value a separate
supply line with a hedge on a 16 A household cir-
cuit breaker is recommended.
CAUTION: Overload!
•
When using extension cables, these should
have a conductor cross section of at least
1.5 mm².
•
Do not use multi-plug adapters since this
product is are too powerful.
You can use the device in two ways:
1. You use one of the 6 speed dial programs
where the temperature and frying time are
preset.
2. Select on the control panel buttons, the
temperature and cooking time manually.
NOTE:
After the time expires you will hear a beep.
The unit automatically switches to standby
mode.
Use
1. Ensure that the device is disconnected from
the mains and turned off. (The display is off.)
2. Take off the fryer lid. Keep the lid on each
time to heat up the oil or fry.
3. Remove the fryer basket and add oil or fat
to the container (no more than 4 l). The fill
level should lie between the MIN and MAX
markings.
4. Insert the power plug into an shockproof
socket. After the beep, the device is ready for
use and in idle mode. Now select a program
or set frying time and temperature.
