USE
Before starting, consideration should be given to the positioning of the vehicle in relation to the
external venting required for the ducting. The unit is normally stored in the vertical position with the 3
metre length of flexible ducting inside the aluminium tube.
1. Roll the device (1) close to the vehicle's exhaust pipe.
2. To make the device ready for operation, loosen the wing nut (10) of the pipe clamp and the two
fixing screws (3) of the height adjustment and swivel the aluminum pipe (2) into the horizontal
position. Hold the filter (6) by the rear end of the hose (5) so that it does not fall out. Slide the
aluminum tube (2) into its clamp bracket until it is balanced, then tighten the wing nut (10) on the
tube clamp.
3. To adjust the height of the aluminum pipe (2) to the height of the exhaust, hold the aluminum pipe
(2) on both sides of the fixing screws (3) and slide the fixing screws up or down from the slot to
the desired height. Push the fixing screws into the next suitable slot and tighten the two fixing
screws.
4. Extend the flexible hose (5) and place the filter (6) at a point where the exhaust gases can be
discharged into the open.
5. The device should be positioned so that the exhaust pipe is inside the exhaust funnel (9) but
does not touch it.
6. Close the compressed air shut-off valve (7) and connect the compressed air supply to the
compressed air connection (8). Alternatively, an appropriately specified portable air compressor
can be used.
7. Switch on the compressed air supply and open the compressed air shut-off valve (7) on the
device.
8. Start the vehicle engine and check whether the exhaust gases are properly extracted. If
adjustments to the positioning of the device are required, turn off the engine first.
