1. SAFETY WARNINGS
ො This appliance is not intended for being used by children from 0 to 8 years old. This ap-
pliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should not play with the appliance. Clean-
ing and maintenance shall not be performed by children.
ො For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical cir-
cuit. Ask your installer for advice.
ො If the power cord is damaged, in order to avoid risks, it should be replaced by the man-
ufacturer, maintenance department or similar sector professionals.
ො This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
ො Only the appropriate connector must be used.
ො Do not use attachments not recommended or supplied for this product.
ො Disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before as-
sembling, disassembling or cleaning.
ො The appliance is for indoor use only. The appliance is not suitable for use in barns, sta-
bles and similar locations. The appliance is not to be used in locations where flammable
vapors or explosive dust is likely to exist. Hang or mount the appliance on a place where
children can't reach it.
ො Never remove any fixed part of the appliance to make any internal adjustment avoiding
electric shock.
ො Do not touch the high-voltage grid with your fingers or a metallic object.
ො Do not wash with water. Do not place in a place with a very high level of humidity.
ො Do not use near inflammable and/or explosive materials and alike.
ො Do not use in garages, stables and alike.
ො Any repair should be carried out by the manufacturer or qualified electricians.
ො The lamp cannot be replaced. Scrap the appliance when the lamps cease to operate.
ො A slight "residual charge" still exists on the grid wires immediately after the bug killer is
disconnected from the A.C. outlet. You can neutralize it with a screwdriver that has an
insulated handle.
