Connection

With a recessed USB port, it is not possible to con-
nect a DVD drive without its own power supply.

Connect the USB connecting cable 1 684 465 682 to
the DVD drive and the two USB ports of the DCU 130
(Fig. 4, Pos. 2).
The driver for the DVD drive is installed
automatically.

unit is required.

Information on problems
Fault
The DCU 130 cannot be switched
on and the display remains blank or

Explanatory notes
The capacity of the internal battery is not sufficient to start the DCU 130.
Connect the external power supply unit.
1. Keep the ON key pressed for 5 seconds.
2. Switch on the DCU 130 again.
This switch-off procedure is only to be employed if the DCU 130 will not react to any key
being pressed, as it may result in loss of data on the hard disk if it is implemented during
regular operation. Data created in the course of this diagnostic application may have to be
entered again.

In the start bar under "START >> Control panel" call up the menu "ELO touch screen"
(refer to Section 6.2).

In spite of correct connection of the diagnostic cable to the vehicle, the software error
message "No connection to control unit" may very occasionally appear. Possible causes:
R Control unit in vehicle not supported by software.
R Diagnostic cable / diagnostic tester incorrectly connected / defective.
R Check if the "Bluetooth" hardware is activated ("Desktop >> Configuration Center >> Wi-
reless Configuration").
R Configure and test Bluetooth using DDC.
R Reinstall the Bluetooth driver
Double click on 'C:\DRIVERS\07-BLUETOOTH\MICROSOFT\INSTALL.BAT'
R Restart the PC/laptop to successfully conclude installation of the Bluetooth driver.

Correct handling of DVD-ROMs
Make sure hands are clean and not greasy when
inserting the DVD-ROM in the DVD drive.
Never touch the unlabelled side of the DVD.
Never write on the DVD or affix labels.
Never use solvents such as spirit or paint thinners,
record cleaners or anti-static agents to clean
a soiled DVD.
Carefully wipe off any finger marks or dust with
a soft cloth working outwards from the center.
Never expose DVDs to high temperatures or direct
sunlight.
