Specific safety instructions:
The tool is suitable for use as a screwdriver,
regular drill and impact drill. Any other application
is specifically excluded.
Use only impact drill bits and accessories that
are designed for use with an impact drill when
using this machine in the impact drill mode.
Standard drill bits are NOT designed for use in
an impact drill and must NOT be used with an
impact drill. They may shatter and possibly
cause serious injury.
Do not drill material too small to be securely
held.
Always keep hands out of the path of the drill
bit. Avoid awkward hand positions where a
sudden slip could cause your hand to move
into the path of the drill bit.
Secure work piece. Use clamps or a vice to
hold the work piece. It is safer than using your
hand and it frees both hands to operate the
tool.
Make sure there are no nails or foreign objects
in the part of the work piece to be drilled.
To avoid injury from accidental starting, always
remove the battery from the tool before
installing or removing a drill bit.
Do not install or use any drill bit that exceeds
175 mm (7") in lengths or extends more than
150 mm (6") beyond the chuck jaws. They can
bend or break suddenly.
Before starting the operation, jog the switch
shortly to make sure the drill bit does not
wobble or vibrate.
Do not use fly cutters or multiple-part hole
cutters, as they can come apart or become
unbalanced during use.
Make sure the spindle has come to a complete
stop before touching the chuck or attempting
to change the drill bit.
Always make sure the chuck is tight and the
drill bit firmly tightened in the chuck before
starting the drill.
When drilling into smooth, hard surfaces such
as metal, use a centre punch to mark the desi-
red hole location. This will prevent the drill bit
from slipping off centre as the hole is started.
Use a masonry bit with the drill in impact mode
ONLY when drilling in concrete or masonry.
Always use carbide tipped masonry bits when
drilling in concrete or masonry
This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced

sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instructions
concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
Follow all safety rules and warnings,
also those which are included with the
battery pack and charger used with this
tool. Failure to do so may result in
serious injury or damage to the charger
and the battery pack
3. MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Prior to mounting an accessory always
remove the battery.
Installing the auxiliary handle
Fig. 2 + 3
Install the auxiliary handle for two handed
operation of the drill. This is particularly important
for impact drilling in concrete. The auxiliary handle
can be installed on either the left or right side of
the combi drill.
Insert the threaded mounting screw through
the depth stop rod clamp (14) and into the
threaded hole in the housing.
Turn the auxiliary handle (11) clockwise to
tighten it into the housing.
Make sure the key on the depth stop
clamp is aligned with the notch in the
drill housing. This will prevent it from
unexpected turning and the auxiliary
handle from coming loose.
Screwdriver bits and drill bits can be stored in the
auxiliary handle.
To remove the end cap (15), pull it of the auxiliary
handle. To install, push it back on the auxiliary
handle.
