4. Absorption (constant voltage) - after the fast charging stage, the constant
voltage charging stage follows. After the charge reaches 20%, the charge
rate decreases, the voltage remains constant, the battery voltage reaches
from 12V to 14.4V, after which the charge reaches 100%, gradually
absorbing energy.
5. Battery test - after the absorption stage, the automatic detection
function is triggered. At this stage, the voltage is checked for 90 seconds
to determine if charging is complete.
6. Adjustment (Fix) - this stage is a continuation of the previous stage. If
stage 4 detects that charging is not complete, it will continue charging by
introducing a reduced direct current until fully charged. If stage 5 detects
that the battery is fully charged, it goes directly to stage 7.
7. Float - the "float" stage keeps the battery 100% charged, avoiding
overcharging or damaging it, allowing the charger to be connected to the
battery for an indefinite period. Ideal for batteries used only intermittently,
such as batteries used seasonally for motorcycles, caravans, boats, etc.
Connecting the charger
1. Make sure the AC adapter is not connected to an AC power source.
2. a. For the batteries placed in the vehicle:
Connect the red (+) clamp of the charger to the red (+) terminal of the
battery.
Connect the black (-) clamp of the charger to a bolt on the engine block,
away from the battery and fuel lines.
2. b. For batteries placed outside the vehicle
Connect the red (+) clamp of the charger to the red (+) terminal of the
battery.
Connect the black (-) clamp of the charger to the black (-) terminal of
the battery.
Note: If you reversed the polarity, the LED on the charger will light up.
3. Connect the AC adapter to an AC power source and turn on the charger.
4. After charging the battery, disconnect the charger from the power
source. Then, disconnect the charger from the engine block and then
from the battery.
