Testing
1.
After installing the license plate holder, arrange the sensor/camera's wire in good order.
2. Connect the red cable from control box to the positive of the reverse light, and the black wire to
the negative.
a. If the monitor (need to buy separately or use your existing one) does not show the rear view,
check that polarity of the power is correct; if the cables are connected correctly, check whether
the voltage is higher than 10.5V. Also check the plug on the monitor is well connected.
b. If the monitor shows 0. 0 or emits sound continuously, switch the power off, then select the
reverse gear again. If the problems could not be solved, the control unit could be deemed as
defective and must be replaced with a new one.
3. It should work properly, if a person is at a distance of 1 m away from the front of the sensors.
a. When testing sensors, if the monitor gives continuous sound or shows 0.0, check for the
following possible reasons: some parts of the car or some unwanted objects fall into the
detecting range; the hole is too small thus the sensor is installed over tightly in it; or the
sensors are near to some strong interference sources (such as exhaust pipe, other wires).
b. Special case: If the monitor shows some number but there is nothing in front of the sensor,
maybe the sensor is detecting the ground, check the position and direction of the sensor. The
sensors should be slightly raised in horizontal. The sensors may detect protruding objects
in the back, such as the license plate, the spare tyre and the bumper. To solve this problem,
slightly adjust the sensors' position.
c. If the problems could not be solved, the sensors can be deemed as defective or the sensors
do not match the control box. The whole system should be replaced.
d. If the image is gradient or reversed, check if the camera is installed correctly.
e. In case of abnormal display such as strips, inclined lines, check if the camera and monitor are
compatible.
Note:
• The monitor can be replaced, but the sensors & the control box, the sensors & the jacks are
matched on a one-to-one basis.
• For safety reasons, the monitor will only show 0.0 instead of 0.3-0.1, when detect something in
the distance of 0.0 to 0.4m. In this situation, the driver should stop the car immediately. When
the distance is within 0.5m, the alarm sound will be 1 second longer. Please pay attention to this
while doing the adjustments.
