MAINTENANCE
Keep pump clean and in a well-maintained condition at all times. Pump should be thoroughly cleaned
for storage.
• The pump and surrounding areas may be covered with water. Never plug or unplug the device while
standing in wet or damp surfaces.
• Disconnect the power at the main electrical service box by switching the appropriate circuit breaker
or removing fuse.
• To clean the impeller from buildup of debris, remove the base plate and pumping head with an
Allen wrench.

Probable Causes
Corrective Action
Plug in the pump.
Turn on circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Replace pump.
Replace pump.
Replace pump.
Shut power off for approximately 1 minute, then restart. Repeat
several times to clear air from pump.
Multiple or larger pump required.
Thaw hose or replace hose.
Check rated pump performance.
Check outlet tubing to ensure that it is not kinked or blocked.
Clear blocked tubing of slime and debris. Clean inlet and outlet
piping.
Thaw or replace hose.
Check rated pump performance.
Check that supply voltage matches nameplate rating.
Pull pump and clean. Check pipe for scale or corrosion.
Replace discharge hose with larger diameter hose.
