1. Remove the carafe and slide the filter basket out of the brewer.
2. Grip the water tank handle and take off the tank vertically from the brewer to
fill with cold water (Fig. 2). Do not fill above the MAX FILL line, do not brew
less than 4 cups of coffee.
3. Place a basket style filter in filter basket. We recommend a basket filter with
a 3 1/4" base dimension. Scoop ground coffee into the filter. We recommend
two level tbsp. of drip grind coffee per cup, varying the amount according
to your taste (Fig. 3). This equates to approximately 7 to 9 grams of coffee
per cup.
4. Slide the filter basket back into the holder until it snaps into place correctly.
(Fig. 4).
5. Place the carafe with lid under the filter basket. (Fig. 5).
Note: Turn the lid clockwise to lock into place correctly.
6. Press the ON/OFF switch to turn on the brewer. The ON/OFF switch will light
up (Fig. 6).
7. Press the BREW button. It will illuminate.
Note: if you would like to pre-infuse or are using freshly roasted coffee, use the
BLOOM function. Press the BLOOM switch, it will light up and pre-infusion
will begin.
8. When the brew cycle ends, there will be an audible beep. Remove the coffee-
filled carafe from the brewer. To dispose of the used filter and coffee grounds,
we recommend dumping them both into your trash receptacle directly from
the filter basket. After dumping used filter and coffee grounds, rinse the filter
basket and set it aside to dry.
9. This brewer was designed to shut off when the brew cycle is complete. The
brewer can be manually shut off at any time by using the ON/OFF switch or
by pressing the BREW switch again.
