• Dry running - operating the pump without pumping water - must be avoided as a lack of water
causes the pump to overheat. This can cause considerable damage to the appliance.
• It is absolutely forbidden to insert your hands into the opening of the pump when the appliance
is connected to the mains.
• Whenever the pump is put into operation, ensure that it is installed in a safe, stable manner.
The appliance must always be placed on level ground and in an upright position.
• Visually inspect the pump before each use.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR USE
• The product requires a power supply of 220 – 240 V / ~50 – 60 Hz. Please check that the
appropriate power supply is available before use.
• Be sure to disconnect the power supply before dismantling / reassembling or adjusting the
product.
• To avoid danger, if the device is damaged, contact our Customer Service team or send the
device to one of our authorised service centres for replacement, and do not attempt to replace
it without our authorisation.

of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical appliances produce sparks that can ignite dust or
exhaust fumes.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The plugs of electrical appliances must be compatible with the socket. Never change the plug.
Do not use adapter plugs with earthed electrical devices. Original plugs and matching sockets
reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Use the cable only for its intended purpose. Never use the cable to carry, pull or unplug the
electrical device. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged
or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
• When operating an electrical appliance outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor
use. The use of a cable suited to outdoor use limits the risk of electric shock.
• If the operation of the electrical appliance in a damp environment is unavoidable, use a residual
current device for personal protection. The use of an RCD limits the risk of electric shock.
