Care tips to keep your leather
furniture looking new
Keep your leather furniture at least 30 cm away from any sources of heat. Prolonged
exposure to heating vents or radiators will cause your leather to dry out, crack or
harden. Call Uniters if you require a softening product.
Avoid placing your leather furniture in direct sunlight. All materials will fade with
time when exposed to the sun's rays. Aniline leathers are especially sensitive and
must not be placed near windows or in the open air.
Call Uniters if you require a colour freshener.
We recommend you do not allow any pets to come into contact with your
leather upholstery as their claws may damage it. Animal saliva and other body fluids
are highly aggressive.
Do not use harsh chemicals or paint around your leather sofas. Keep materials such
as nail polish, bleach, glue and household cleaners well away from your furniture. If
you really do need to use these near your sofa, make sure you cover it first. Avoid all
products containing solvents or oils, as they could damage the surface of the leather.
Dust your sofa as you would any other furniture in your home. Dust weekly using
a soft damp cloth and Leather Soft Cleaner. You may also use the soft brush
attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Leather is particularly suited to people who are
allergic to dust. Particles of dust are unable to penetrate leat
her and can easily be removed.
All leathers last longer when preventive maintenance is carried out. For aniline and
pigmented leathers, apply Leather Protection Cream to the surface of the leather
to increase resistance to staining and prevent grime build up. Take special care to
protect areas subject to heavy use: armrests, seats and backrests.
As a general rule, clean your furniture with Leather Soft Cleaner at least every
six months to remove dirt as well as the gradual accumulation of body oils and
perspiration. Aniline leathers are highly absorbent and may require more frequent
cleaning if they are subject to heavy usage (for example in rooms where there is a
television). After cleaning, always re-apply Leather Protection Cream to renew the
level of protection.

Leather Soft Cleaner
Leather Soft Cleaner es un limpiador suave, a base de una solución acuosa, que
puede ser utilizado en todas las pieles a la anilina pura y en las pieles pigmentadas.
Limpia eficazmente la mayoría de las manchas y la suciedad debidas al uso, así
como las manchas debidas al agua. Antes de utilizar el producto en el mueble,
aplíquelo en un área poco visible del sofá. Leather Soft Cleaner podría quitar el color
o cambiar las características de la piel en las siguientes circunstancias:
• Si la piel pierde color cuando se ponga en contacto con todo tipo de líquidos. Es
posible comprobarlo humedeciendo con agua un trapo suave y frotando la piel;
si el color se desprende y se deposita en el trapo, también se puede remover
con Leather Soft Cleaner o con cualquier otro tipo de producto.
• Si la piel después de la aplicación de Leather Soft Cleaner parece haber
oscurecido, es síntoma que la piel es muy absorbente. En este caso la piel se
ha apelmazado, pero no se ha vuelto más oscura; cada punto de color se ha
acercado al otro, haciéndola parecer más oscura. Hay que extender la piel y
cepillarla o frotarla, manteniéndola extendida hasta que el color vuelva a
aparecer más claro.
Instrucciones de uso
1. Agitar el frasco antes de usar.
2. Testar el producto en un área poco visible antes del uso.
3. Verter Leather Soft Cleaner en una esponja suave y apretarla repetidamente
hasta producir espuma.
4. Distribuir la espuma en la piel con movimientos circulares. Apretar con la
esponja en las áreas donde el sucio es más intenso. Cuanto más grande
es la dimensión de la esponja, tanto más rápidamente se puede acabar el
tratamiento. Cuando la esponja se ensucia, limpiarla con agua destilada.
5. Pasar después un trapo blanco de algodón, para limpiar el exceso de espuma y
la suciedad que ha quitado.
6. Cuando el resultado del tratamiento de limpieza sea satisfactorio, se aconseja
esperar aproximadamente media hora y dejar que se seque bien antes de
aplicar el producto Leather Protection Cream, para renovar el efecto protector..
