INSTRUCTION
1. Before first use, be sure to clean whisks and dough hooks in
lukewarm water with a little detergent. Thoroughly wipe all parts.
2. Always examine appliance, cord and plug for damage before use.
3. Place the mixer upright and hold on to the stem of the whisks or dough hooks
while inserting them into the openings on the bottom of the appliance.
4. Insert the whisk/dough hook with a slim end at the top of the stem into the small
opening and the whisk/dough hook with a larger end at the top of the stem into the
larger opening (Fig. 1). It is important to position the hooks in this way in order to
prevent the dough/the blend from working its way up the dough hooks and the stem.
5. You will hear a click when the whisks or dough hooks are engaged.
6. Position the speed control at 0 and insert the plug
into a socket – the hand mixer is now ready to use.
7. Use your thumb to select the speed level by pushing the speed control back and forth,
respectively – also when the appliance in on (Fig. 2).
Always start at level 1.
8. In order to avoid splashes, always keep the beaters in the ingredients in
the bowl and switch off the mixer before lifting the beaters off the bowl.
9. NOTE! Make sure that the beaters and the dough hooks can rotate
freely in whatever is being mixed. If not, the motor may be overloaded!
10. What speed?
· Steps 1–2: Blending of dried ingredients and liquids, whipping of cream and sauces
and mashing of vegetables. Blending of cake dough or rather compact dough, using
dough hooks, and stirring of sugar and fat to get a soft texture.
· Steps 2–3: Whipping of cream, eggs and egg whites and beating of forcemeat and
kneading of light dough.
11. Do not use the hand mixer more than 5 min. at a time
and then let it rest for about 10 min. before proceeding.
12. Make sure that the speed indicator is set to 0 when removing the whisk / dough
hooks. Then press the eject button and release the loose parts.
