Never immerse the scale in water. Also, never rinse it off under running water.
!
- Storage: Do not place any objects on the scale when not in use.
- Strong electromagnetic fields (e.g. cell phones) may impair the accuracy of the scale.
- The scales can accept a maximum load of 3 kg. The weight measurement is displayed in 1 g divisions.
- The scale is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.
- Remove transport safety catch.
2. Operation
2.1 Battery
The scales requires 1 piece 3V lithium battery CR2032. If the ‚change battery' symbol
"
" appears, the battery is almost flat. Insert the batteries into the battery compart-
ment beneath the scales. Make absolutely sure that you insert them with the correct
polarity as marked.
Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste! They
are considered to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special containers,
toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers.
Note: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows:
Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains
mercury.
If provided, pull out the battery insulating strip at the battery compartment or remove the protective film
from the battery and insert the battery with the correct polarity. If the scale fails to operate, remove the
battery completely and reinsert it.
Place the scale on a level and solid surface; this is important for ensuring that the scale weighs correctly.
2.2 Weighing
On delivery the scale is set to the unit "g". A switch located on the front of the scale enables you to switch
between „g" and „oz".
Weights are displayed in 1g steps. Switch the scale on by pressing „ON/OFF/TARA".
" first of all appears followed by „0 g", indicating that the scale is now ready for weighing.
Weighing without a bowl
Place the item to be weighed directly on the scale. The weight thereof is displayed immediately.
