Remove the trimmer head
1. Press the two release tabs on the
spool base to remove the spool and
spool retainer (Fig. 23).
2. While holding the spool base, turn
the bump knob clockwise until it
stops, then pull the bump knob
straight out from the base (Fig. 24).
