2. Before preparing coffee for the first
time
• Remove all packaging material.
• All appliances are tested for proper working order
during production. This may leave behind traces of
coffee powder. Clean the housing, the grinding cham-
ber and the lid prior to initial use (see 5 "Cleaning
the coffee grinder").
• Replace the lid. The coffee grinder will only start
with the lid on the grinding chamber.
• The coffee grinder is designed for grinding coffee be-
ans only. Make sure that there are no other objects
or food in the appliance.
• Make sure that the power supply in your home is
the same as that indicated on the type plate on the
bottom of the appliance.
• Connect the appliance to the mains supply. When
the lead is not needed, store is using the cable-
winding facility.
We all have different tastes. Adjust the grinding time to your requirements. The longer you grind, the finer
the coffee powder. The following times are guide values and have been calculated with commercially available
coffee beans (medium roast for French press and filter coffee, and dark roast for espresso). Please note that
the grinding results can vary between coffee bean varieties even with the same grinding time.

3. Operating the coffee grinder
• Make sure that the appliance is connected to a
power source.
• Remove the lid of the coffee grinder .
• Fill the grinding chamber with the desired quantity of
coffee beans (max. 60 g). Only fill coffee beans into

do this, simply pour the desired quantity of coffee
beans (max. 60 g) into the lid and transfer it to the
grinding chamber .
• Replace the lid on the appliance. Make sure that the
lid is properly closed .
• Hold the appliance firmly with one hand and hand
press down the grinding button on the lid  with

grinding fineness is reached. You can check it through
the transparent lid.

have come to a complete stop. Risk of injury!
• NOTE: This appliance is designed to be used for a
maximum of 30 seconds. Adjust the length of coffee
grinding time to get the exact grinding fineness for
your favourite coffee.
• Pull out the plug.
• Remove the lid, your freshly ground, aromatic coffee
is now ready for use .
Wait at least 3 minutes before using the appliance
again and after being used three times let it cool down
to room temperature to avoid overheating.
4. Some tips for best use
• For the best flavour, store coffee beans in an airtight
container.
• Only grind the quantity of coffee beans required for
the brewing process, as the flavour and aroma of the
coffee powder changes when stored in the open air
or with other food.
• Clean the mill after each use (see 5 "Cleaning the
coffee grinder").
• If the appliance cannot be switched on again after
use, this is being prevented by a thermal fuse.
Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down for
5 minutes.
• The quantity of ground coffee required depends on
the type of bean, grinding fineness and the number
