3.3 Adjustment system
The OPEN FACE ALL MOUNTAIN HELMET model VREQH2 can
be adjusted using the wheel at the back of the helmet.
The purpose of the adjustment is to adapt the helmet to the wearer.
Failure to adjust the helmet, or incorrect adjustment, can lead to a
lack of protection in the event of an impact.
Adjust the helmet by turning the wheel clockwise to tighten, or
counterclockwise to loosen, as shown in the figure below.

Loosen
To check the correct adjustment, try rotating the helmet forwards and
backwards; if worn and adjusted correctly, the helmet should neither
fall forward covering the eyes nor fall backwards leaving the forehead
uncovered.
4. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Clean the helmet with neutral soap and water.
Do not use any other substances to clean the helmet; contact with
corrosive substances may cause damage not visible to the naked
eye.
Do not use the helmet if it has been exposed to these substances.
Do not expose the helmet to high temperatures greater than 140 F
(60°C); do not expose the helmet to the sun for prolonged periods of
time; do not expose the helmet to contact with or near heat sources.
The expected lifetime of the helmet is three years from the date of
manufacture. VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. recommends replacing
the helmet after that period of time; in any case, the helmet must
be replaced when it shows obvious signs of wear, or when it is has
suffered an impact or been damaged.
The useful life of the helmet may be less than three years in case of
exposure to sunlight, incorrect handling and storage.
