Introduction
The OT-BX220 is a power supply cover (PS-Cover) to be attached under the TM-U220
series printer to hold the power unit. This manual describes the procedures and
precautions for installing and using the OT-BX220.
Before using the product, read this manual carefully so that you will use the product
properly. Keep this manual available for reference.
This manual provides all the illustrations at the beginning of the manual.

Safety Precautions
WARNING:
Use this product only for the TM-U220 series printers. Do not use for other
products or other purposes. Doing so may cause equipment damage and fire.
Be sure to read the "Usage Precautions for the PS-180 Power Unit (AC
Adapter)" for usage of the power unit to use it safely.
CAUTION:
Use only the AC Adapter,C or PS-180 as the power unit with this product. If a power
unit is included with this product, be sure to use the supplied power unit. If
using the PS-180 in Europe, be sure to use the ones manufactured in November
2005 or later.The date of manufacture of a power unit is printed on the label
on the power unit. If the manufacture date is not printed on the label, it means
the power unit was manufactured before November 2005.
If using the AC Adapter,C as a power unit, be sure to install the ferrite cores
where specified.
Using other power units or using the AC Adapter, C without the ferrite cores
may cause electromagnetic interference.

Notes on Usage
❏ Power cables with a straight connector part (illustration A-a) can be used. Cables
with an angled connector part (illustration A-b) may not fit, depending on the
shape of the connector. Make sure the connector will fit.
❏ When the PS-Cover is attached, the description of EMI standards on the bottom of
the printer is hard to see. To read the EMI standards, uninstall the PS-Cover.
