3.3. Working with the device
Attach the device to a suitable attachment point above the user. Attach the self-
locking safety hook at the end of the rope to the attachment point on the full-body
harness. Note: make sure that the safety hook can close and lock itself.
•
Do not connect several devices together.
•
Do not use the device with other fall protection systems.
•
Do not make the rope pass between the legs and under the arm of the
operator when using the machine.
Do not mount the unit near transmission mechanisms to avoid unnecessary
•
accidents where the rope may get caught in the transmission mechanism.
The cable of the device should not deviate from the vertical angle at by
•
more than 30°, which minimizes the risk of a pendulum effect when
stopping a fall.
•
When using the device, the rope should not be twisted or tied; The rope
may not be entangled with other ones nor may it be caught somewhere or
led near sharp objects; the rope must not touch moving devices.
Before each use, make sure that there are no obstacles within a radius of
•
3 meters (at least) below the user's work platform.
