SMOKE LEAK DETECTOR
1 - • Place the detector on a flat surface.
• Tighten the air cell adapter clockwise.
• Insert the front end into the pipe to be detected.
• Press the hand pump to inflate the air cell to seal the hose completely. Make sure there
are no leaks.
• Insert the outlet of the smoking hose into the inlet of the air cell adapter. Make sure there
are no leaks.
• Connect the detector to the vehicle's DC12V battery, connecting the RED clip to "+" and
the BLACK clip to "-". When the power supply is correctly connected, the power indicator
lights up. Note: DO NOT CONNECT THE TERMINAL IN THE REVERSE.
2 - • Plug in the power supply, the detector starts to operate.
3 - • When smoke mode is selected, the pipe will be completely filled with smoke after
operating for about 2 minutes (it may take longer depending on the operation).
4 - • If necessary, use a light during operation. The leakage point is located where the smoke
appears.
5 - • Once the operation is complete, properly store all cables and hoses.
6 - • Note: try to avoid detecting areas sensitive to smoke. While the EVAP system is detecting,
check the pressure in real time and deactivate the airflow control switch in time.
Each operation should last no more than 20 minutes. Wait 15 minutes between operations.
The detector is equipped with a safety setting: when a certain limit is reached, it switches off
automatically; in this case, take a break before the next use.
DO NOT CONNECT THE SUPPLY CABLE TO THE Upside. If you do, the tamper function will be
triggered and the detector will not operate. If the power cable is often incorrectly connected,
this will damage the detector or shorten its service life.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
1 - Smoke oil deteriorates by oxidation in a high-temperature environment, affecting the life of
the smoke-generating element, which must be replaced regularly.
2 - When the detector is not in use for more than a week and needs to be refilled with new oil,
please drain the used oil.
3 - If there are many drops of water in the smoke outlet, the oil should be replaced.
4 - We recommend the use of specific smoke oil.
5 - For refilling, use the oil bottle in the accessory box.
