4.8. The remote controller

The remote controller summarizes the HOLD (37-41) and ON AIR (38-42) buttons and leds
and is aimed to ease the operation of the adapter. A cable with male 15 D connectors is used to
connect the remote controller to the adapter. The HOLD led has two functions, flashes whenever a
call is received and shines when the call is hold. The controller has two holes on the bottom to fix it
to a suitable surface. Remove the two marked rubber feet and use round head screws (max.
diameter of 5.5mm) and fix the screws at the distance shown in the drawing.

5. CONSIDERATIONS

5.1. Ground loops

Never interconnect the grounds of the different signal sources because hum and rumble
could arise and sound quality would be affected.

5.2. Audio connections

As a general rule, make the audio connections as short as possible and use connectors
and cables of the best quality.

5.3. Cleaning

The front panel should not be cleaned with dissolvent or abrasive substances because
silk-printing could be damaged. To clean it, use a soft cloth slightly wet with water and neutral liquid
soap; dry it with a clean cloth. Be careful that water never gets into the unit through the holes of the
front panel.
