choose the desired position and fix the screws firmly.
2. ASSEMBLING AND CHANGING THE BACKING PLATE (FIG. 1 – 2)
- Position the spanner on the spindle.
- Rotate the backing plate clockwise while holding the spindle with the spanner until the base plate is
tightened.
- To remove the backing plate, place the spanner on the spindle, and rotate the plate counterclockwise
while holding the spindle with the spanner.
WARNING: Before assembling or disassembling any parts, disconnect the polisher from the power
source.
3. FITTING SANDING PAPER (NOT SUPPLIED) OR FOAM PAD (FIG. 4 - 5)
Sanding paper (not supplied) or foam pad are easily attached on the backing plate of the polisher.
- Fit the paper/pad over the plate so that it covers the entire area.
- Push and slightly twist to make sure the paper/pad is evenly fixed to the plate.
NOTE: make sure the paper/pad is even with the edges and that it is centrosymmetric, otherwise the
polisher vibrates badly.
- To remove the sanding paper or the foam pad, pinch an edge of the paper/pad and peel it off.
3. APPLYING POLISH (FIG. 6)
Spread about a tablespoon of polish evenly over de entire surface of the pad cover. Do not apply the
polish directly on the car. To cover an average size car it will take about 3 applications.
4. ON/OFF SWITCH (FIG. 7)
- Push the On/off switch forwards to start the polisher.
- Push the On/off switch backwards to stop the polisher.
NOTE: Always start and stop the polisher when it is in contact with the car surface.
5. VARIABLE SPEED SWITCH (FIG. 8)
The are 6 speed positions. Position 1 is the slowest operating speed, position 6 the fastest. For applying
wax, choose a speed between 1 and 3. For polishing, choose a speed between 4 and 6. You can change
the speed either when the polisher is on or when it is off.
6. START POLISHING (FIG. 9 + 10 + 11)
- Hold the power cable over the shoulder.
- Start with the flat surfaces of the car, i.e. bonnet, boot and roof.
- Cover the areas quickly with broad sweeping strokes in a crisscross pattern.
- Use long, sweeping strokes in a crisscross pattern to bring out shine.
NOTE: Always hold the polisher firmly with both hands during operation, but do not put pressure on the
polisher; the polisher will work best without any pressure.
7. SANDING
- Carefully choose the type of sanding paper that fits the job.
- For the best result, it is recommended to work with low speed (between 1-3).
8. REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSH (FIG. 12)
This polisher is supplied with a spare set of carbon brushes.
- Open the cover with a screwdriver and take out the carbon brush.
- Put the new carbon brush in and close the cover.
TIPS
1. Let the polisher do all the work; do not put any pressure on the machine. Pressing too hard will slow
down the machine's movement and affect the quality of work.
2. Move the polisher in a light circular motion.
3. Be careful that you do not apply too much wax. If the pad absorbs too much wax, the polishing will is
more difficult and takes longer.
