uvex aXess one:
Active earmuffs with Bluetooth
function for communication, audio streaming
®
and RAL (Real Active Listening). The uvex aXess one limits the sound
pressure level of the sound signal for entertainment purposes to 82 dB(A). In
some workplaces, the ability to hear warning signals may be reduced by us-
ing the audio output system. The uvex aXess one has a foldable headband
and continuous length adjustment. These earmuffs are a category III PPE
product (harmful noise).
Warnings:
This hearing protection product is designed to protect against harmful noise
when used in accordance with these instructions. Wear the hearing protec-
tion continuously throughout the period of noise exposure. The hearing pro-
tection must be checked before each use. Sealing pads may show signs of
wear; look for defects or cracks and check the flexibility of the sealing pads.
Do not use the hearing protection if it is damaged. Replace the sealing pads
twice a year to ensure that the seal, hygiene and comfort are maintained.
Move long hair out of the way and remove jewellery or other objects that
may compromise the acoustic seal. Covering the sealing pads with hygienic
protection covers may compromise the acoustic seal.
These earmuffs are equipped with electrical audio input. The user should
check that this is functioning properly before use. In the event of distortion or
malfunction, the user should follow the manufacturer's recommendations re-
garding maintenance. Warning! The output level of the electrical audio input
on this hearing protection product may exceed the daily noise exposure limit.
These earmuffs have level-dependent sound attenuation. The user should
check that this is working properly before use. If the batteries are displaced
or faulty, the user should follow the manufacturer's advice on maintaining

and replacing the batteries.
Warning: Performance may deteriorate as the batteries wear out. The
typical duration of continuous use that can be expected from the earmuff
batteries is 50 hours. Warning: The sound output from the sound regenera-
tion circuit may be louder than the external sound level.
Failure to follow the instructions may reduce the effectiveness of the ear-
muffs, resulting in hearing damage.
Storage:
Storage location: Store in the original packaging, in a dry, clean environ-
ment that is protected against light, UV and heat, at a temperature of be-
tween -10°C and 55°C and humidity of max. 85%. Storage life: 5 years from
date of manufacture. See product or packaging for date of manufacture.
Ensure that when stored the headband is not extended and the sealing
pads are not compressed. The battery must be charged occasionally if the
earmuffs are stored for a longer period of time.
Service life:
Service life of 5 years from date of manufacture. Dispose of the product
once it has expired or immediately if it is damaged or can no longer be
cleaned.
How to put the earmuffs on:
1. Pull the earmuffs apart and put them on. (Fig. 1)
2. Position the ear cups by sliding the ear-pieces up or down. The ears must
be completely covered and sealed. (Fig. 2)
3. Note the individual ear cups for the left and right ears; the voice micro-
phone must face forward to ensure good speech quality during communi-
cation.
