TROUBLESHOOTING
Please note the following:
1. When an output is not in use, please ensure that the port is turned off. Example
press the AC button to turn off the output, the icon will no long show on the LCD
display.
2. Please ensure the power consumption is less than 500W, before plugging into
the unit. If the output exceeds 500W, the Elite 500 will beep twice and a warning
icon will flash on the LCD display, disconnect device to rest.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Before use or storage, plug your Southwire Elite 500 Series into the wall outlet until
it is fully charged. Store your charged portable power station in a cool dry location
until ready for use.
If the display shows less than 20% capacity, plug the unit into a power source,
such as an AC outlet or a solar panel, as soon as possible to recharge.
Having your power station connected to a power source, between adventures or
while in storage keeps its battery healthy and topped off. This prolongs battery life
and will ensure your power station is charged and ready to go all day, every day.
If you can't keep your power station plugged into a power source during storage,
fully-charge your power station every 3 months and store it in a cool, dry place.
Failure to maintain your power station by following these steps can result in battery
damage which will void the product warranty.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your devices are not recharging from your Elite 500, try the following steps:
1. Make sure that the output is on. Press the AC, DC or USB button once to power
on the Power Station. Press it again to power the AC, DC or USB device. If
correct you will see an icon at the bottom of the LCD screen.
2. Check the LCD Display to see Battery level, if it is less than 20% , plug your
unit in to charge.
3. Check the LCD Display for the following warning icons:
* Overload or Short-circuit : The DC icon will be blinking, and the Warning Alarm
will go off twice.
* Temperature: Low & High Temperature Warning icon will appear
The SW Elite 500 Series has a temperature rating ranging from 0 - 40°C (32 - 104
°F). This is the ideal working condition anything outside this can lead to the unit not
working at optimal functionality
4. Make sure the power of devices does not exceed more than 500W, this is the
maximum this station can support. The unit will beep twice with the warning icon
flashing on the LCD display. Unplug the device causing the overload and the
unit will reset.
5. If your Power Station shuts down when you start your device, please check the
type of device and load. Less efficient and/or older devices may trigger the
Power Station to shut down due to overload. See types of loads under "Using
Southwire Elite Series Power Stations".
