IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This machine is capable of amputating hands and feet and throwing objects. Failure to observe the
following safety instructions could result in serious injury or death.
I.General Operation
1. Read, understand, and follow instructions and warnings in this manual and on the machine, engine
and attachments.
2. Only allow operators, who are responsible, trained, familiar with the instructions, and physically
capable to operate the machine.
3. Do not operate the machine while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Follow the manufacturer's recommendation for wheel weights or counterweights.
II. PREPARATION BEFORE OPERATING
1. Clear the operating area of any objects which could be thrown by or interfere with operation of the
machine
2. Keep the area of operation clear of all bystanders, particularly small children. Stop the machine and
attachment(s) if anyone enters the area.
3. Inspect the high pressure hose regularly. Replace the hose immediately if it is damaged, worn, has
melted from contacting the engine, or shows any signs of cracks, bubbles, pinholes, or other leakage.
Never grasp a high pressure hose that is leaking or damaged.
4. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and
footwear.
III. OPERATING
1. Only operate the engine in well ventilated areas. Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, a deadly
poison.
2. Never touch, grasp or attempt to cover a pinhole or similar water leak on the high pressure hose. The
stream of water IS under high pressure and WILLpenetrate skin.
3. Never place hands in front of nozzle.
4. Direct spray away from self and others.
5. Make sure hose and fittings are tightened and in good condition. Never hold onto the hose or fittings
during operation.
6. Do not allow hose to contact muffler.
7. Never attach or remove wand or hose fittings while system is pressurized.
8. When using replacement lances or guns with this pressure washer, DO NOT use a lance and/or
lance/gun combination that is shorter in length than what was provided with this pressure washer as
measured from the nozzle end of the lance to the gun trigger.
9. If engine does not start after two pulls, squeeze trigger of gun to relieve pump pressure. Pull starter
cord slowly until resistance is felt. Then pull cord rapidly to avoid kickback and prevent hand or
arm injury.
10. Do not overreachor stand on an unstable support.
11. Do not use pressure washer while standing on a ladder.
12. Grip gun/wand firmly with both hands. Expect the gun to kickback when triggered.
13. Never leave wand unattended while unit is running.
14. Unplug any electrically operated product before attempting to clean it. Direct spray away from
electric outlets and switches.
