Note. Sufficient adhesion is not guaranteed if the door sill trims are

removed and bonded again. Therefore, ensure that the door sill trims
are positioned correctly before the actual bonding procedure.
Once the door sill trims have been bonded, the vehicle must be stored in a protected room
for six hours (temperature between 18 and 30 °C).
Maintenance information for the door sill trims (Fig. 14)
Always provide the customer with the following information when handing
over the vehicle after having fitted the components.
Do not drive the vehicle through a car wash within 48 hours of bonding the door sill trims.
Wash the door sill trims with a solution of mild soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solvents under any circumstances. Do not clean the door sill trims with
a dirty cloth or a scourer.
Note. The door sill trims are just a decorative addition to the equip-
ment specification. Under no circumstances are they designed to be
stood on when getting into (or out of) the vehicle.
