To install:
Unscrew and remove the battery cap.
Insert the battery pack into the product as shown.
Place the cap over the battery pack and push down until
the cap meets the threads at the end of the tool.
Screw the battery cap on securely.
NOTE: Do not attempt to use this product if the battery
cap is not securely closed.
To remove:
Unscrew the battery cap.
Remove the battery pack from the tool.

for your battery pack.
LED LIGHT FUNCTIONS
See Figure 4, page 8.
When a charged battery pack is installed in the tool, the
LED light will indicate the status of the tool when the tool
is powered on.

INSTALLING/REMOVING TIPS
See Figure 3, page 8.
DANGER:
Do not change a tip immediately after use. You will get
burned because of the heat build-up from the operation.
Always wait 30 minutes to allow the unit to cool down
before removing the tip.
To install:
Remove the battery pack from the tool.
Choose a tip that is suitable for the application you are
doing.
Align the green channels on the tip with the tool. Slide
the tip onto the tool until you hear a click.
Re-install the battery pack and press the on/off button.
To remove:
Remove the battery pack from the tool.
To remove, hold the base of the tip and then pull the
tip out.
Once the tip is removed, the tool will automatically
shut off.

NOTE: Do not touch the heated zones of the tips while
the LED is solid or flashing.
Clean the tip as described in the Maintenance section
of this manual.
OPERATING THE FOAM CUTTER
See Figure 5, page 8.
WARNING:
Always place the tool resting on the stand so the tip does
not come in contact with anything while it is heating or
when not in use. Following this rule will reduce the risk
of damage to items, burns, fire or serious personal injury.
Always hold the foam cutter as shown.
Examine the tool and tips carefully. The use of damaged
tools and tips can result in serious personal injury.
Install the battery pack.
Click the button once for high temperature, click the
button twice for low temperature, click the button a third
time to turn the tool off.
NOTE: The LED light will pulse green until maximum
operating temperature is reached. Once the set
temperature is reached, the LED light will go solid.
NOTE: The tool is only meant to be used with polystyrene
and polyethylene foams.
NOTE: The heat of the tool will cut the foam. Do not force
the tip into the foam material.
When cutting, use steady pressure as you move the tool
through the foam material and cut in one smooth motion.
NOTE: Use a test piece of foam material first to get a
feel for how the tool works.
Lift the tool away from the workpiece before turning off
the tool.
WARNING:
Fumes can be hazardous and cause serious injury,
permanent damage or death if inhaled. Follow the
foam manufacturer's safety instructions and guidelines
shown on any labeling, listed in their manual, and/ or on
their SDS sheet. Breathing protection may be required
from the foam manufacturer. This tool is only intended
to be used with polystyrene and polyethylene foams.
Always work in a well-ventilated area.
