USING YOUR SALT AND PEPPER MILLS
• Before seasoning your meals, you can adjust the fineness of the ground pepper or salt by
adjusting the wheel on the bottom (underside) of the mills.
• Turn the wheel counterclockwise for a coarser grind or clockwise for a finer grind.
• While holding the pepper and/or salt mill over your meal, push the button located on top
of the mill. The light function illuminates what you are seasoning and enables the precise
grinding quantity.
• Place the bottom cap back on the mill when finished.
MAINTENANCE OF SALT AND PEPPER MILLS
• Disassemble the different parts of the mill and clean them separately with a damp cloth.
• Do not immerse the mills in liquid or place in a dishwasher.
• Do not use cleaning products or detergents.
• Keep your salt and pepper mills away from heat or dampness.
BATTERY & TROUBLESHOOTING
• If your mill is running sluggish or is not properly operating, check batteries.
• Replace with new batteries of the same type and eliminate the old batteries in an
environmentally friendly manner.
• If the mill still does not grind, check batteries are installed correctly and are not discharged.
• If the mill gets stuck during use, it will hum. The internal shaft will not turn, and no pepper
will grind. Gently tap the mill or shake the mill to remove the stuck salt or pepper.
• If peppercorn is deeply stuck, detach the top half of the mill along with the battery motor
from the bottom as if you were refilling the mill. Turn the adjustment grind setting wheel
to its coarseness setting and tap lightly on a hard surface until the stuck peppercorn is
released. Use the refill opening as support. Once done, put the mill back together and
adjust the coarseness to your desired level.
