Observe the contents in these operating instructions and
keep them in a safe place in order to avoid damage and
hazards resulting from incorrect use.
Check with the operating instructions of your vehicle, that the
socket and the supply cable of the cigarette lighter are designed
for the 20 amps current. if not, you can:
Do not fix the water heater at a height where it could be hit by the
driver or a passenger's head.
– connect the water heater to a power cable suitable for this
current (20 amps). The minimum rating of the fuse for the power
cable must be 20 amps.
Attention! Never arbitrarily change the fuse rating.
– connect the water heater to the car battery. When connected to
the car battery, ensure that the supply cable is protected by its
own fuse (20 amps). The supply cable should not exceed a length
of 5 m (12 V) or 11 m (24 V). The cable cross section should be
at least 4 mm².
– A socket rated for 20 amps is commercially available.
Note the battery charge when you operate the water heater with the
engine switched off.
Only connect the water heater to direct current. The voltage (12 V or
24 V) indicated on the type plate (bottom face of the appliance) must
coincide with the voltage of your vehicle (see ✎ A 1).
Pull the plug out of the socket and put the water heater out of
operation, if:
– a malfunction develops during operation,
– the supply cable or the water heater is defective,
– the water heater shows functional faults.
– Prior to each cleaning and care.
Never pull the plug out of the cigarette lighter socket by pulling on
the cable.
