CARE & USE INSTRUCTIONS
PORTABLE POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT (PDU)
Please read and follow the instructions carefully before trying to use this
unit (PDU). Please retain this instruction sheet for future reference.
DESCRIPTION
• 6506TLXS: Rainproof, twist-to-lock 20A receptacles, sled base
• 8706TLCX: Rainproof, twist-to-lock 20A receptacles, roll cage
• 6506UGSX: Rainproof, straight-blade 20A receptacles, sled base
•8706UGCX: Rainproof, straight-blade 20A receptacles, roll cage
1. (6) Class "A" ground-fault circuit-interrupters (GFCI), each protects the
20A receptacle to its right
2. (6) 125V 20A receptacles, NEMA 5-20R or L5-20R, with individual circuit
breaker and GFCI protection
3. 125/250V 30A receptacle, NEMA L14-30R, with circuit breaker protection,
not GFCI protected
4. 125/250V 50A receptacle, California Standard twist-to-lock, not circuit
breaker or GFCI protected
5. 125/250V 50A inlet, California Standard twist-to-lock, with flip-up cover
6. Circuit breakers, (6) 1-pole for the 125V 20A receptacles, (1) 2-pole for
the 125/250V 30A receptacle
WARNING
Test each GFCI before each use. Follow the instructions on the GFCI.
CAUTION
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, ground this unit at the supply source
and use only in the upright position. Always operate the unit within its
electrical and environmental ratings, which are printed on the top cover.
• Ground-fault protection will not guard against shock hazard resulting

from physical contact with both circuit conductors, or any defect in the
wiring of the electric supply to the unit.
• The GFCIs do not need to be reset after a power interruption. When power
is restored, tools and equipment may restart.
• The power indicator lamp in the GFCI may fail from age or damage. Do not
assume that the power is off if the lamp is not lit.
• The 30A and 50A receptacles are not GFCI protected.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Connect the 50A inlet (1-) to a 125/250V 50A power source.
2. Verify that the circuit breakers are in the "ON" position.
3. Test and reset each GFCI. The power indicator light (between the buttons)
on each GFCI should be illuminated.
4. The power distribution center is now ready for use. Additional units may
be powered through the 50A receptacle.
