6.1 Operation selector
3-position selector located on the front face of the box (see FIG. 1
ref. 5). This enables the selecting of the type of operation required :
"MANU" (fugitive) position : the system is manually controlled; it is not
affected by the setting of the level or the remote external auxiliary
contact.
Position "0" : the pump cannot operate whatever the conditions.
Position "AUTO" : the pump operates automatically according to the
system selected.
6.2 Settings and checks
6.2.1 Thermal protection
This is set while the box is powered up. Do not touch the
elements close to it.
Set the potentiometer (see FIG. 2 ref. 6) to the motor's nominal
rating, given on the company plate (or on the site plate fixed near
the box, in the case of an immersed pump).
- Set the switch (see FIG. 1 ref. 5) to "AUTO" : the power on indicator
light will come on and the pump will start.
- If the motor warning light comes on after about 3 minutes of
operation, the motor's nominal rating is set too low.
- Check the electric current requirement and the installation before
attempting any new adjustments.
- Set the ampere rating again according to the value obtained.
6.2.2 Checking the rotary direction (three-phase motor only)
- Set the pump switch (see FIG. 1 ref. 5) to "MANU", ("power on"
indicator on). If the sensor (float, electrode, etc.) is activated, the
pump will start.
To check the direction of rotation, refer to the instructions for
commissioning the pump. In the event of inversion, cross two phase
wires in the box.
6.3 Selecting the type of use
Depending on the application, a use must be selected.
6.3.1 Drilling with two sensors (see FIG. 4a)
Set the water shortage protection on switch (see FIG. 2 ref. 11).
6.3.1.1 Setting the sensitivity of the sensors
- Before starting the pump, set the water hardness potentiometer to
minimum, using a flat screwdriver pushed into the slot
(see FIG. 2 ref. 7).
- Set the switch to "AUTO" and ensure that the electrodes are
immersed. Slowly turn the potentiometer (see FIG. 2 ref. 7)
clockwise until the pump starts.
6.3.1.2 Setting the sensor positions
(see the instructions for the pump installed).
Nota : The lower sensor detects water shortages. To cancel this
default, the upper sensor must be immerged.
6.3.2 Drilling with one sensor (see FIG. 4b)
Set the water shortage protection on switch (see
CAUTION !
FIG. 2 ref. 11).
6.3.2.1 Setting the sensitivity of the sensor
- Before starting up the pump, using a flat screwdriver pushed into
the slot, set the water hardness potentiometer to minimum
(see FIG. 2 ref. 7).
- Set the switch on "AUTO" and ensure that the electrode is
immersed. Slowly turn the potentiometer (see FIG. 2 ref. 7)
clockwise until the water shortage indicator starts blinking
(see FIG. 1 ref. 2).
6.3.2.2 Setting the time-lag before re-starting
Following a stoppage caused by lack of water, select the waiting
time before re-start (1 to 30 minutes).
This is set on the potentiometer (see FIG. 2 ref. 8).
During this waiting phase, the yellow indicator will blink
(see FIG. 1 ref. 2).
6.3.2.3 Setting the position of the sensor
(See the instructions for the pump installed).
6.3.3 Drilling with flow detector (see FIG. 4c)
Set the water hardness potentiometer to
CAUTION !
maximum (see FIG. 2 ref. 7).
Set the water shortage protection switch (see FIG. 2 ref. 11).
6.3.3.1 Setting the time-lag before re-starting (see FIG. 2 ref. 8)
Following a stoppage due to insufficient flow, choose the waiting
time before re-start (1 to 30 minutes). This time lag enables the
sufficient filling of the water tank before re-starting. During this
waiting phase, the yellow indicator will blink (see FIG. 1 ref. 2).
6.3.3.2 Setting the re-start time lag (see FIG. 2 ref. 9)
Select the pump's operation time (5 seconds to 3 minutes) enabling
the flow switch to detect sufficient flow rate. If, at the end of this time
lag, the flow switch has not been activated, the pump will stop.
6.3.3.3 Setting the time-lag activation (see FIG. 2 ref. 12)
"AUT" position : both time-lags are activated.
"MAN" position : the re-start is activated by pressing "RESET"
(FIG. 1 ref. 6).
Ensure that the shunt is correctly positioned at
CAUTION !
contactor terminals 5 and 6.
6.3.4 Lifting
Set the water hardness potentiometer to
CAUTION !
maximum (see FIG. 2 ref. 7).
6.3.4.1 A single control float (see FIG. 4d)
- Set the water shortage protection switch (see FIG.2 ref.11).
In this position, the control float is connected at contactor terminals
5 and 6.
A shunt or protection float shall be connected at contactor
terminals 1 and 3 (see FIG. 4d).
Setting the time-lag before re-starting (protection float). Following a
stoppage due to water shortage, select the waiting time before re-
starting (1 to 30 minutes).

During this waiting phase, the yellow indicator will blink
(see FIG. 1 ref. 2).
6.3.4.2 Two control floats (see FIG. 4e)
- Set the water shortage protection on switch (see FIG. 2 ref. 11).
In this position, the box only provides control of the pump and the
yellow indicator (see FIG. 1 ref. 2) indicates the filling phase.
Ensure that the shunt is correctly positioned at
CAUTION !
contactor terminals 5 and 6.
6.3.5 excess pressure (see FIG. 4f)
Set the water hardness potentiometer to
CAUTION !
maximum (see FIG. 2 ref. 7).
6.3.5.1 An on tank monitoring float + manometric contactor
- Set the water shortage protection switch (see FIG. 2 ref. 11).
In this position, the control manometric contactor is connected at
contactor terminals 5 and 6.
Setting of the float's time-lag before re-start
Following a stoppage due to lack of water, select the waiting time
before re-start (1 to 30 minutes).
This is set on the potentiometer (see FIG. 2 ref. 8).
