unsuitable material is prohibited. We recommend
the use of stainless steel or double-walled stainless-
steel duct that is thick enough to guarantee good
resistance to temperature and corrosion. The duct,
along its entire length up to the chimney, must be at
least 4 meters (400 cm) and must be away from
combustible materials along its entire length or, if
this is not possible, it must be properly insulated.
The duct cannot have deviations of more than 45 º
in relation to the vertical, and each curve requires
an increase of 50 cm in length. The chimney
length must be adequate to guarantee a
minimum draft of 12 Pa.
The smoke duct must maintain the same diameter
from the stove outlet to the chimney top, and its
weight must not be supported by the stove. The duct
must be independent and exclusive to a single
equipment; must be completely clear and clean
before installing the stove.
The masonry chimney or other equivalent material
should preferably be circular, about 20cm in
diameter, or alternatively, it should be 20x20 cm. If
the existing duct is oversized, it must be fully
intubated. When there is a too large section, the
draft is reduced, causes rapid cooling of the fumes,
and consequently: condensation and tar formation.
If the duct is too narrow, it will prevent sufficient
evacuation of the smoke and can lead to its return
to the air inlets of the stove (and possible smoke exit
into the room).
The chimney must be smoke-tight (pay attention to
the joining of materials), impermeable to the
weather to prevent water from entering the
chimney, and resistant to mechanical shocks.
The shape of the roof outlet must promote the
escape of smoke, even in the event of wind. The
chimney must have an outlet corresponding to at
least twice the diameter of the duct. In cases of
backflow problems, where all the conditions
necessary for the chimney to work properly have
been observed, an anti-wind device must be
installed. You must make sure that the chimney
prevents the entry of rain. The chimney should be 1
meter above the highest point on the roof or
other buildings and obstacles within a radius of 8 to
10 meters. If the chimney is close to others, they
must have a difference in height of about 50 cm
between them, being arranged in the form of a
ladder. It is not allowed to install the appliance
in a shared chimney.

2.6. HOT AIR OUTLETS
The appliance has two Ø 125 mm hot air outlets, or
four in the case of the SQUARE / VISION 10 NEO
model.
If the hot air outlets connected to the stove are close
to combustible materials, they must be properly
insulated to avoid a fire hazard. Hot air outlet grilles
on ceilings and walls (floor is not recommended)
must respect a safety distance of 25cm.
The hot air flow flap mechanism is locked at
the factory and must be unlocked before the
installation, only in case of the upper vents are
used.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
Local, national, and European regulations and
standards regarding the use of this appliance must
be observed.
Read Chapter 2 (2.2 and 2.3): Safety and air intake
requirements.
Read Chapter 6: Troubleshooting.
3.1. FUELS - FIREWOOD
Your Flamebox equipment is not an
incinerator
operation, you should only use dry wood with a
humidity level of less than 20%. To obtain this level
of humidity/drying, the wood must be cut and split,
and after a period of exposure to the weather,
stored in an airy shelter, for a minimum period of 6
to 12 months for soft wood and 12 to 24 months. for
hardwoods. It is important to mention that in
Portugal we use the term "dry firewood" to identify
non-green firewood and firewood with low humidity.
They are distinct characteristics, green firewood
comes from trees that have been cut recently and
therefore is unsuitable for burning; in turn, low-
moisture firewood is firewood from trees that have
been cut for several months (or years) and that,
after splitting, have been subjected to a natural
drying period (as described above) and kept from
the weather. It is this firewood that you should use
in your equipment, although on the market you will
hardly find firewood with a moisture content of less
than 30%. Therefore, we recommend that you
purchase the firewood a few months in advance and
allow it to dry in an airy place without being in direct
contact with the ground.
